Caravan/Camping Sites- Lighting

Fire Risk Assessment on Caravan/Camping Site. These places are usually in darkness at night. I am suggesting specific lights should be left on with Fire Points etc being adequately illuminated. Emergency handlamps to be available. Is that adequate?

Should Fire Points not be illuminated with emergency lighting? Emergency handlamps? How long would they last?

Lighting
42. The lighting provided for communal paths and roads should be adequate
to allow safe movement around the site during the hours of darkness.
Many sites use low lighters rather than traditional street lamps and these
work well as long as they are well maintained and plants/vegetation are
not allowed to grow around them and stop them emitting light effectively.
The lighting must be fit for purpose i.e. to allow vehicles and pedestrians to
navigate around the site between dusk and dawn.

One of the general principles of fire safety, especially in situations where there may be persons present during the hours of darkness, is that people can react to a fire emergency which also involves the failure of the general lighting.

When "The siting of the fire points should be so that they are visible at all times, and marked in a way that makes it obvious as to what they are.", would it not be considered a suitable safety measure to provide emergency lighting to enable fire points to be visible "at all times" and to make them "obvious as to what they are" as required by the Model Terms?

Most sites I've been to site fire points near other services and the site lighting points provided for them.

Is it reasonably practicable to have to cable in a load of weather proof 8W fittings next to each fire point & service them as what are the chances of both the site electricity failing and there being a fire in a caravan/tent at the same time (the two wouldn't be connected remember).

If you were going to have PFE on a caravan park it would make more sense just to have a blanket and ABF foam or ABC powder extinguisher in each van rather than a hose reel or 2 x 13A rated waters down the road as once everyone is out that should be it rather than them running back in with the hose/water extinguisher a couple of minutes later (no doubt just in time for the room flashing over)
