Hydrogen Cylinders in cinema
« on: October 05, 2012, 09:30:44 AM »
Hope people can offer advice with the following question
Public cinema with approx 400 people capacity.
Science show using various experiments etc, one part of the show includes the use of hydrogen to power a display- large portable cylinder in use
Following science acts include use of oxygen/nitrogen and carbon carbonate in various science shows
Does a DSEAR assessment have to be undertaken? Storage will be outside, just nervous concerning theuse of hydrogen in large public space

Would it be any different to using butane or propane equipment in a public area?
We're not Brazil we're Northern Ireland.

DSEAR covers the use of any substance which can produce an explosive atmosphere. There are no minimum quantities, the storage is a separate issue
