Demise of Lacors guidance

I've heard a rumour they are planning to get rid of Lacors guidance anybody got any news.  ???
All my responses only apply to England and Wales and they are an overview of the subject, hopefully it will point you in the right direction and always treat with caution.

Local Government Regulation (formerly the Local Authorities Coordinators of Regulatory Services), as part of the Local Government Group, is the local government central body responsible for overseeing local authority regulatory and related services in the UK.

It appears it is the demise of LACORS not the guidance and this is possible the source of the rumours.
