Can anyone help me??

I currently have a CFPA Diploma in Fire Safety (From the FPA). I have spent 3-4 years in a fire safety/advisor role which was only 50% of the job.(I am not an ex FF)
It involved many aspects of fire prevention, RA's and general fire safety as well
as offering technical advice on gas & water supression systems as well as fire alarms.

I am currently in an electrical role which is my "bread and butter" so to speak and I was wondering if any of you "Professionals" could give me any advice as to how to get back into the fire industy in a similar role.I have tried various jobsites etc but to no avail.

Any pointers?

Depends how much money you are looking for. If its not too much, you could think about a role as a civilian I/o in a FRS. Some FRSs take people off the streets as civilians in the fire safety departments. Your background would give you a head start.

a fire consultancy may want to take you on. Some will only employ ex fire service officers, but the majority also want people with wider experience from civie street.

Pick up the yellow pages and go through all the fire consultants you can find.

I am currently a serving member of the fire service! Due to the changes that are effecting the service through the modernisation process i feel i am ready to look for addaitional employment outwith the the UK. I would like to know of any companies that are recruiting a training and devlopment officer. i have been a facilatator for some years implimenting all fire service courses and practices.

I would be grateful if anyone has any contacts so that i can get the ball rolling and find a suitable position out with the UK.
