As far as I understand SP205 certifies the company no matter how many FR assessors there are, there is no individual certification. Therefore should they be individually assessed and be on one of the recommended registers.
Not necessarily. Rather than co-ordinate and pay out for dozens of individual registrations we went down the BAFE route as an inclusive measure. It does look at our assessors qualifications and experience as well as their actual work, plus everyone gets a field audit over a period of time.
We have to demonstrate we have internal procedures to QA and assess each consultants competency (we grade them by sector and the FRCC's 3 grades) and to ensure that the right consultant is allocated to jobs so they are within their scope of practice.
It is not just an examination of company level issues, it covers everything from top to bottom. Internal validators come under particular scrutiny as they are the 'watchmen' on a day to day basis to ensure quality is there.
