Only 6 people live in NI, Almost, plus some parts of the guide will not apply to NI.

The roadshows are now fixed for 12 January at Manchester and 16 January at the home of our very good friends the LFB.  Both services are kindly hosting these events and providing coffee.

...Suppers, Watford is a boring place and south of anywhere that matters...

What a dreadful thing for the Laird of Farnham to say... what will his serfs think?

Almost, never wishing to be pedantic, but NI was in the UK last time I looked.

I dont actually live in Farnham, but in the hamlet of Rushmoor, a protectorate of the Scottish Empire and of course many miles from London, though her indoors and I will travel to the Great Metropolis for the LFB Christmas Carol concert next week, for which I have my Hark the Herald Angels pitch perfect through constant practice.

"Laird of Rushmoor" has a lovely ring to it.  Not sure the populace of Surrey would agree that they needed to be 'protected' by the Scots, though...

For those wishing to attend the London seminar, as it is now fully subscribed, our extra special bestest friends LFB are hosting a second seminar in the afternoon, so creating a further 100 places.

All places on the second London seminar are now taken as well.  Could everyone who has booked a place please try to read the Guide before attending as the purpose is NOT to give a teach in on the recommendations of the Guide (which may change anyway), but to receive feedback from stakeholders as to any amendments that are perceived to be required.

I emailed CFOA about 3 weeks ago expressing an interest in attending the event and asked for details. What happened? Nothing!

Something to do with the origin of the word. It's all Greek to me.

Almost, you should have asked us and we would have directed your enquiry to the right people in CFOA.  There are still places in Manchester if you are quick.

Idol, the OED rules used to be that if a word had a Greek route you could ONLY use the z form for ize.  However, no one learns Greek any more, so they relaxed the rule a bit and changed it to one along the lines that, where there is a choice, the Z form is the OED preferred, but the ise is a second form of spelling.  The entire guide is written with the ize form, as OED is our own preferred style, though we do let the team ise ise if they really want to.  However , for formal published work such as this we stick to OED.
