Can a business have affiliation to any of the Fire Safety institutes even if they don't employ members of those Institutes?

Way to remember it Almost is that one has an institute of a subject and an institution of people.  Accordingly, I believe you should be in an institution.

When did IFE change its label?

There seems to be a bit of confusion with some "clubs" over this labelling. institution of Engineering and Technology?

Mr Todd's explanation of the difference between "institute" and "institution" may be true in Scotland where, just like our own wee piece of turf, etymology is studied in institutes rather than institutions!
