Does anyone have any references to guidance on fire safety in the storage and recycling of plastic.

We have a situation of a site where a tenasnt operates such a process and there is concern over their lack of precautions.

I know of the HSE Plastics Information Sheet 2 which gives seperation distances for stacks, but woud like to know if anything else exists.

Anthony,
Have a look at Draft: BS 7982 'Guidance on environmental impact of large-scale fires involving plastics materials'. It was issued in 2001 and I'm not sure what's happened to it since. There is however some advice there.
