lol, Willie J, took me a few minutes to realise you meant me, I am only known as that in Glesga.

I did stick my email addy in the post, thanks for the info, I will certainly get in touch with your man, as It seems that the 3.5 day course one of the more serious contenders out there, I note that you said above, that Surrey FRS are considering presenting the same course, do you have a contact for them.

All I need to do now, is convince the boss to shell out for some real training rather that the usual, look it up approach, I cant imagine she will fund a jolly to Ireland, but fingers crossed she might stretch to Surrey.

Thanks for that.

Willie, In Glasgow, they would know you as wUllie, not wIllie. What is it that you actually do for a living? Contact ar Surrey would be Milly o' Ryan of their commercial training arm. Belfast is not that expensive to reach, and you will find that the course cost is very reasonable. If it interests you, let me know , as we often get good rates at hotels over there. Best of luck anyway.

colinski - are the courses designed for capitalists as i note you seemingly slip in a capital letter into the middle of a word (normally someones name) every now and again? would an attendee need to be able to spot ten differences between yourself and sir digby jones to gain accreditation for the course?

Davey:

1. Sir Digby is 4 years older.
2. Sir Digby is not half as good looking.
3. Sir Digby was brought up in an area of the country where the bolshiness makes you seem like Ken Clarke.
4. Sir Digby was a sailor. I get sick crossing the channel.
5. Sir Digby was in finance. I can never work out what our annual accounts mean.
6. Sir Digby is into the Leicester Tigers. I am into rock music.
7. Sir Digby would not like you. I find you mildly tolerable.
8. Sir Digby is a knight. I just stay up all night, writing inane postings on Firenet during breaks from workload.
9. Sir Digby likes rugby. It always seems to me to be played by men with odd shaped balls.
10. Sir Digby ran the flora marathon. I take the car to the top of the drive to get the newspaper out of the box.

Where is the comparison?????

mr todd, i note your answer to 'potential' difference number 7. to suggest that old 'diggers' wouldnt like me is an outrage, an affront to my personal dignity,

but then again you may be right.

would anyone else care to try to spot ten differences between mr todd and santa? i know that they both like plum pudding so that is obviously a similarity and not a difference!

colin, i asked if anyone else -would like to try to spot ten differences -  i wouldnt expect santa to reply, so i dont think you should either. it would seem unfair if you replied and he didnt.

ps, i make no comment re cancelling christmas!

Ok Davey, I shall say no more on that matter. However, I would point this out to you. There was once three men walking down the street, a conservative voting member of the FBU council, a kind and generous Scotsman and Santa Clause. Suddenly, they spot a fiver lying on the ground. Which one stops to pick it up?

I would say the Scotman 1st as I have  met many a kind Scotman, but never a generous one and maybe this suggests that you are more likley to meet santa than the aforementioned!!

Paul, You are on the right lines. The answer is santa clause. It must be him, as the other two are merely mythical characters, who, in real life, do not exist.

To be honest I was going to say that but it was too obvious.  Couldn't resist a dig at my Scotish friends..........in good humour all the same.
