Jokar, I have news for you. It is not really father xmas that brings your presents each year. Mrs Jokar puts them out once you are asleep. And if the sprinklers are operating in the ROOM of fire origin, there must be a very large fire, so why would you want to have longer travel distances and slow down escape by reducing the exit widths WITHIN THAT ROOM. Was that BRE research too. Dont think so-their research suggests quite the opposite. Blind faith in those who draft standards is ill placed, particularly, if, when challenged, they cant offer a satisfactory explanation. It is simply a new weapon to hit enforcing authorities over the head with, and will be used as such, notwithstanding the good intentions of those who drafted it and the good concepts that are badly implemented in the standard, resulting in various flaws.
