Upper & Lower Explosive Limits
« on: May 12, 2006, 11:01:48 AM »
I recently saw an overhead chart with LEL IM and UEL of a product, and I did not know what IM is. In regards to the upper and lower explosive limits, does anyone know what IM means?

Hi Chris
Somewhere between the upper and lower explosive limits is a proper mixture of vapor (fuel) and air this is known as the Ideal Mixture, hope this helps.
