Hse Enforcers Guidance For The Rr(fs)o
« on: June 04, 2007, 10:50:00 PM »
Has anyone else seen this document? In my opinion this is well overdue yet an extremely good document, does anyone know if the fabled enforcers guide for local authority FRS is similar and god forbid written in consultation with the HSE? (or is that wishfull thinking), Oh and when will it be available to the public?

firelawmac may be talking about an agreement between HSE and CFOA. I don't think it is formally available yet and although it does have a lot of good stuff, it needs more work.
I don't think it contradicts, (at least not obviously) anything in the enforcers guide which is finally due for publication at the end of June. (But don't hold your breath)!

The latest draft for the enforcers guide is dated March 2007 and came out a month or so ago.  It is, subject to the legal eagles of CLG, the definitive document.  Better than the first 2 attempts but still may lack some information dependent on your viewpoint.  Currently it is restricted access only as far as I am aware.

Thanks.

Interesting stuff. Found a problem in it..

"Article 18 (8) states that where there is a competent person in the responsible person's employment, that person must be appointed in preference to a competent person in his employment."

Ha?

Somebody needs a proof reader. :)
