Books for NFQ???

I recently took the new NFQ (national firefighter questionaire)/fire fighter exams/psychomentric tests for recruitment and failed :¬(

I am looking for books that i can get hold of which would help me get some practice in before the next recruitment phase.

my biggest problem was the psychomentric test, where they had 126 statements, and you had to answer if you agreed/disagreed with the statements.
The results for me came off pretty wild, and in my opinion wrong. It said at one point that my situational awareness was very poor, and well below the standard. But later on in the other test, it said my situational awareness was well above the required standard.

Does anyone know of any books, or anything i can do to help improve my next test results?

I think the point of the test is that you answer the question honestly and with your opinion, I'm not sure there will be books that can tell you how to do that!!

there are a couple of books that might help, pop in to WH Smiths and ask them, I know there is a book called "How to pass psychometric test's", there is also a good one called "How to improve your I.Q." these may be of help

awesome, i saw that how to pass psychometric tests on the www.fireservice.co.uk website, and was wondering if it was any good?

How specific is it to the fire fighter exam?

How did you rate it? pros? cons?

I used the "How to improve your I.Q" book when I joined and it helped me with about 20% of the answers on the old tests.  I dont know what the new tests are like but I think they must be similar. At the end of the day it's your decision but I thought it was worth a couple of quid any day.  I've seen the psychometric test book and heard it's good too.
