Do you think that as a public service we are being set up for a separation of the fire safety enforcement from the operational side . With FS enforcement being dealt with by a national enforcement agency.

The ambitions go further than that. LBRO is now consulting on the inclusion of FRA in the regulatory enforcement and sanctions bill which will, among other things give LBRO the right to nominate 'primary authorities' to deal with all regulatory action against companies, will re-introduce the range of penalties, including FPN, suggested by McCrory and make LBRO a binding arbitration body. Quite where this sits with the due legal process is anyone's guess.
As Gordon set this up prior to becoming PM, ...I think we are going to get this whether we want it or not.

Dont think there are any plans as yet, but I see where you are coming from.

By the way folks he is talking about the Better Regulation Executive......
