Fire Risk Assessors get panned
« on: July 09, 2008, 04:49:01 PM »
Did anyone get the focus newsletter from the fire industry association?

On the first two pages it lambast a 'fire risk assessment company' for it's FRA on Avon flats in Bournemouth. Apparently Dorset Fire and Rescue have endorsed the fire risk assessors report that says that the fire extinguishers should be taken out of the common areas (hallways and landings)

notable people that voiced their disapproval were Iain Cox chair of the CFOA national fire safety committee, Graham Elliot CEO of the FIA and Tom Carroll past president of CFOA

Ouch!

If you take a look down the fire safety threads to "CFOA guidance on extinguishers for auditors" its discussed there.
