Ridiculous , how is the postman going to find this flat so he can deliver the fine from the people who brought this matter up in the first place.

Even more reason for extinguishers in common areas to put out the fires caused by letters and door numbers??? Oops what have i said!

This is just mad they should have treated the door numbers with a suitable FR coatings along with the door mats or provided small FR lobbies around each flat door!  Easy!

This is one for inclusion in my Fire Safety Training presentation to demonstrate how total ignorance can turn H&S into an absolute farce.

What about a powered smoke extraction system covering every door number? Coupled with a drencher system, that should solve the problem. Should only cost around £20,000 per door.
