Yep, thats get out stay out and wait for the fire to involve the whole kitchen, your living room and the landing. The lads will be there reasonably quickly to boot down your door and flood your downstairs neighbours.  ::)

Hmmm, now if they used that big red lorry to deliver chips between 10pm and 4am..................

Although with ever decreasing cover at night you'd better hope it doesn't get to the roof and spread to next door.

There is nobody forcing you to get out/stay out. But, it effectively alleviates the FRS from any blame if you do have a go, and get hurt. IMO it will be a bad decision to make if they don't still supply the advice of how to deal with it, as people WILL have a go rather than watch their home burn down.

If you are daft enough to lock the door behind you on your way out then you probably deserve to get it kicked in. :)

It is also quite amusing when you look at it from the point of view of the CLG's guidance:

What to do if your

• Don’t run around, you’ll
make the flames worse.

Cracker. What about:-
Do not try to put the flames out with your hands.
Lie down, stay calm and someone will be with you shortly.
Do not shout "Mummy Mummy" as this will sound as if you are in a state of distress and panic others around you especially young children.
If you sustain serious burns run the affected area under cold water for at least ten minutes until the pain subsides.
Contact NHS Direct for further advice.

Dip yourelf in egg, roll in flour and jump in the frier while it's still going.  Then, when the bigg rred arrives, they can take you off 'round the estate and sell you with chips. What batter idea
