Could anyone recommend a fire risk assessment course for high-risk industries? Anywhere in the UK?

Why do you make a distinction regarding high risk? Do you mean a specific process? Like Oil exploration or Oil refinery? I don't actually see any difference betweem risk assessment in these terms after all Care homes are pretty high risk places. The same procedure ,practice and disciplines apply wherever you carryout a risk assessment..otherwise you could change a low risk into a high risk if you don't apply the same expertise.

You may need more knowledge of emergency contingency planning or more expertise in specific conseqence of specific high risk process and this is maybe what you mean. Is it ?

What career. training and development have you already done?

If you are doing risk assessments in a petrochem type environment (where things could go bang!!!). Then you really need to know what you are doing. I would expect a trained/experienced engineer to be involved.

A two day course won't help a lay person but it may help the engineerto understand what the law requires him to do.

The Fire Service College at Moreton in Marsh ran a course recently (Jan) for BP personnel. Try there.

He runs sessions for many Petrochem companies, even over seas and off shore and marine.

Their facilities are excellent and instruction 1st class.  Highly recommend them as they have done work for me for the last 10 years and I have never had any issues that couldn't be ironed out.
