clymac question again?
« on: January 25, 2009, 10:13:42 PM »
Does anybody out there know what printer tape it takes (i've been told you can get from a local printer shop)  also how to change the settings of a heat detector and if possible of how to auto learn things on/off panel. If anybody out there got a comissioning manual would be great. ;)

Hi,

Are you refering to the "Ziton" panel that Clymac install? If so is it the ZP3 or ZP5 panel??  If it is the ZP3 I can assist with the auto learn etc.  The printer tape for these panels are standard, and can be bought from a printer shop, but I cannot remember the size of the roll.

According to ZP3 manual, the panel gives you 6 readings.

1 reference group. 0-39 no device. 70-100 intrinsically safe, normal reading 84. 197-226 other devices normal is 213. outside the range 205-218 should be re-calibrated. all others, un-calibrated or unhealthy device.
2 polling group.
3 device type.
4 reference (low).
5 Device status.
6 device specific.
I can't be very specific on the analogue value you should be getting as it is all device specific. Only that it should be between 20ish and 140. there is a lot of tables, I will get to you. They only gave us a operation/maintenance manual, no commissioning one.

The printer ribbon is epson ERC-09 B

to stop the printer menu 3(setup) system config, printer, printer options there you can turn on or off printing of fire fault panel operations and panel activations

Adjust a device sensitivity menu 3(setup) point, indevidual settings, edit, point sensitivity from 1-4
1 high
2 standard
3 medium
4 low

good reading the first three sets of numbers identify the device type 4th set indicates line interferance must be under 10 hopfully one or two 5th reading is the acuatl device readin this depends on device type and sensitivty setting but around 60-90 for most devices easiest to compare to threshold value on left of display as long as its well below the threshold should be ok 6th number used for comi smoke/heat or line sounder unit etc
