Smoking (Bulbs) Lamps
« on: March 24, 2009, 03:49:13 PM »
The old boy up the street just told me , some replacement (bulbs) , which you plant , he meant lamps he bought from a major DIY chain have stated to smoke when they got warm .
They were in a table lamp so cant be more than 60 watt ,anyone heard anything about this happening in general ? I think they were produced in Hungary or Romania:o

If they are smoking for any reason other than being dirty or greasy then I think Trading Standards may want to know.

Are you sure they are 60w?  Some lamps specify limits of 40w.  Worth double checking. But as said - T/Stds may want to know.
