All my responses only apply to England and Wales and they are an overview of the subject, hopefully it will point you in the right direction and always treat with caution.

Hi,

Thanks for that, I have found a couple of documents published by BRE.

Would have preferred to have looked at the original document.

Will keep searching.

Cheers

Gazza,

I have a hard copy of CP3: Part 1: 1971.  But I do not have an electrical copy.   I was thinking of scanning it in to create a PDF version, but i'm not sure about the copyright laws on such an old document?  Obviously new BS's are copyrighted, but i'm not so sure about this one?

A very interesting document. I have been looking at this recently, having undertaken a FRA on a block of flats.  Very similar to the Camberwell block.  Although not built to this code of practice, the block that I am looking at was built to the 1948 version.

Does anyone have a copy of the 1948 version?  I know BSI have a hard copy I can purchase, but if anyone has a pdf of the 1948 version, and there are no copyright issues, then we could do a swap.

Stinky

Hi Gazza I too am interested in obtaining a copy of the 1948 edition and have been told it is available from knowledgecentre@bsigroup.com . I have a hard copy of the 1971 version and if you draw a blank you could pm me.

Hi

Eureka

I have the document thanks to everyone who offered advice etc.(hard copy)

Would be interesting to see a copy of the document that precedes CP3.

I take that to be the 1948 edition can anyone tell me the correct title and does anyone have a copy they can let me have.

I have the BS5588 1984 and 1990 that supersede CP3

(well I sound like a right anorak,we were quite elated when we found the document, must be me age or the job or a bit of both, shall have to try and get out more)

thanks again
