CFPA Diploma Exam
« on: August 17, 2009, 08:54:56 PM »
Hi

Noted the topic CFPA Diploma or BRE ABBE fire risk course posted in July. I have just compleated my 8 units and due to sit the exam in September and have asked the FPA for past exam papers to help in revision, but they informed me that they dont provide past papers. So I would be greatful if any one who has recently taken this exame could give me an idear as to the type of questions that are asked.

Hi Boro,

The exam is designed for you to demonstrate your breadth of knowledge rather than its detail, you have already demonstrated detailed knowledge in your distance learning element.

My advice is to re read all of you distance learning units and use these to base your revision. Make revision cards bullet pointing the significant soundbites within you notes.

I hope there isn't a section on spelling.

Hi Buddy,

I took mine recently and passed, The exam itself is not over complicated its made up of a mixture of multi choice and then 20 written questions. they cover a wide range of topics but if you do some revision you'll be opk, they do a revision session before the exam as well which is helpful. The depth of the question isn't too difficult you won't be expected to quote much legislation as you have done this in your study work, if you have a goodn basic practical understanding of fire safety you'll be fine believe me,

I passed it and I'm certainly not a "know it all", far from it!
