Perhaps they should take a leaf from England's book and issue our small B&B guide?

Welcome back Ricardo thought you had gone into hibernation.

The author of that article has been banging the drum in many arenas, to be honest I say best of luck to him, but this article appears to have been prompted by him following a long period of inaction, to keep the issue live. Have the Scottish brigades reinstated their enforcement program yet?

Hi Kurnal

If I could get myself a decent computer I would be on more often, its so slow, but anyway , no the enforcement programme atm is also still in hibernation (like me) awaiting new guidance from the SG.

The decision to suspend the smaller B & B's which the owner operates from their own homes from the appropriate guide is from way back at the beginning of this year.

I heard that the views of the those representing the B & B sector to be quite mixed, with a small number arguing strongly for no changes to the old legislation to others having the view that the current benchmarks are far too onerous but still acknowledging the need for reasonable fire safety measures to be in place.
