Storage of mixed gas cylinders
« on: January 14, 2011, 03:42:24 PM »
Can anyone point me in the right direction?.................. Whada my thinking, of course they can. This is FireNet Forum.

I have some info on best practice for the storage of mixed gas cylinders in the open air (separation distances, security protection from physical damage etc) but I can’t find anything authorative in the from of HSE guidance docs or trade association guides. I’ve found LPG guidance, and guidance on gas cylinder safety in the licensed trades, and guidance on the storage and use of acetylene,  but nothing on mixed gas cylinder storage.

ISO 11625 may cover your query?
Also may be worth trying:

Failing that BOC are normally quite forthcoming with free advice and have detailed free booklets - I think their general industrial gas safety book might go into this as well as the product specific data.

I'm very surprised you can't find anything in HSE website. You could give them a call.
