Pneumatic Sample Systems Fire Dampers
« on: February 07, 2011, 08:33:02 AM »
A uPVC pneumatic sample system is being fitted in an old (40+ years) single storey hospital. Fitted internally it breaches compartmentation and at 160mm D is above the size of the largest intumescent collars I can find. Is fitting a fire damper in each wall OTT? Not possible to route the equipment externally due to 50C + temperatures

Don't know if these are suitable, but they go up to 400mm diameter.

Why not use a damper? Although I think firecode has issues with thermal dampers.
