Hi,

I was wondering what your thoughts are on this matter.

Do you think a residential social landlord (not a local authority) is duty bound to share the fire risk assessment of a property with the occupants? Is this something that could be requested under the freedom of information act?

Your thoughts would be welcome.

There is no provision for this under the Fire Safety Order. The FOI act only applies to designated bodies- see attached link.

So no as a tenant you have no right to be told the significant findings of the fire risk assessment or any information relating to the fire risk assessment.

I'm sure you know that the FOI Act only applies to public bodies.
Are you asking because your social landlord is maybe a government funded not-for-profit organisations that provide affordable housing.
