Hi Jokar
Many thanks for your reply, but the Mandatory Rules for means of escape you sent me  related only to Regulation B1 (enforced by the fire authority till 1992 when Buildomg Contol took it over following Bickerdyke Allen Review.

From 1985-1992 the Guidance for compliance with Building Regulations B2-B5 were contained in the 1985 version of ADB, it was the first in the current style and format. It was reprinted in 1992 when it was updated to include B1.

There is a query over compartmentation relating to 1985-1991, this was detailed in the ADB itself.

Many thanks once again- but still looking!

Thanks also to those who have suggested a number of websites - but haven't yet found one with an active link to this document.

I'd be interested in it as it would fill a gap in my archive, just like the parts of CP3 for offices, shops, etc (I've got the flat one) and BS5839-1:1980 and CP 1019:1972

Even hard copies would do as I can get them scanned.

Hello :)

I too would like to know if anyone has a copy of ADB that they may be able to provide that would be relevant to a property that was refurbished between 1992 and 1994?

Thanks all

EDIT:
I have actually found some old hard copies:

ADB 1992 edition 8th impression (still not sure if this is relevant to my building)

Code of Practice - Means of Escape in Case of Fire by Greater London Council 1983

Building Regs 1997, Technical Guidance Document B Fire Safety - Irish?? - Published 1997 I think

Check out http://www.kentbuildingcontrol.co.uk/downloads/part_b1.html and you will see the 1985 version only covers B2 B3 B4 fire spread, B1 is covered by Mandatory rules for means of escape in case of fire - 1985 edition.
All my responses only apply to England and Wales and they are an overview of the subject, hopefully it will point you in the right direction and always treat with caution.
