Our next IFE recognized 4.5 day FRA course will be 31st March – 4th April in Edinburgh. A 10% discount is available to all Firenet members and PAYE employees of BAFE SP 205 firms. If you are interested please contact the office by phone or email (office@cstodd.co.uk/01252792088) or message me on Firenet.

(Edinburgh was, of course, the home of the Empire Palace Theatre where, courtesy of Sigmund Neuburger, the 2.5 minute evacuation time came from, though dont listen to those who say it was the time taken to play the National Anthem.)

Colin knows because he was there.

That aside Colin would one of these IFE recognised fire risk assessment courses be a reasonable first step for a youngster entering the fire risk assessment industry or would they be better to do some foundation training first? In short is there a recommended qualification pathway? Obviously there is a need for mentoring, experience, supervision etc as well.

Other IFE approved courses are available etc
Other professional bodies are available etc etc
