This interactive and eye opening session investigates a tragic fire incident that occurred at a care home in Scotland. It follows a video developed by the Scottish Fire Brigade that highlights, in detail, what went wrong and how lives could have been saved. During the session you will gain an understanding of the key stages involved in the life of a fire alarm and detection system to ensure everything possible is done to limit the risk to life and property. You will also gain knowledge of the latest standards and how technology is being used to prevent similar fatal accidents occurring in the future.
