I am intrigued why AFD would be necessary in a shower room?

It might be that there is a risk in there like an airing cupboard?

Many years ago, the swimming pool at Winchester sports centre was more or less destroyed by fire.  The staff operated a MCP, which sent an autodialler message to the FRS.  Even in those days, the PDA was downgraded to one appliance as it was an unconfirmed AFA.  As I recall, the staff did not confirm it as they knew it went through automatically. Eventually, they did phone the FRS to ask if they were coming, at which point the attendance was upgraded.
How many morals are there in that story.

I wasn't referring to the building the swimming pool was in, I was referring to the actual swimming pool and the tiled area immediately surrounding it.

I'm not sure that a CO sensor would be a good shout. My recollection was that they dont like being damp.

I have heard it said that Clevey knows an awful lot of old wives. My wife is quite old but I don't recollect hearing her mention it though.
