Prosecution of tenants under RRO
« on: February 25, 2015, 06:23:34 PM »
Has there been any prosecutions of tenants under the RRO by any Fire & Rescue Authorities for any of the following (I doubt number 1 would fall under The Order).

(1) Tenant removing a battery from a detector in his flat which is provided for his own safety rather than the safety of others or the communal area within the block of flats.

(2) Tenant removing/damaging a detector which is provided for his as well as the safety of other residents and the communal area in a HMO.

(3) Deliberately smashing a manual call point or emergency door release within the communal area of a block of flats or a HMO, particularly if it cannot be easily demonstrated that by doing so the tenant has put others at risk of serious injury or death.

(4) Changing a flat or HMO front door for a normal door.
Some people are like clouds. When they disappear it's a brighter day.
