The successful applicant is likely to have:
- At least five years continuous recent experience in fire safety, in enforcement or consultancy I have been in fire safety for 40 years in November. TICK
- Excellent communication skills. My mother used to say I could talk the hind legs off a donkey, though this is never happened when I feed the donkeys at the local pub.  TICK
- Knowledge of relevant fire safety & building codes and British Standards. Who needs those. I can just do what everyone else does and ask people on Firenet to tell me what the standards say, as some mug is likely to have bought a copy.  TICK
- Knowledge of fire engineering principles. I can recite the fire triangle.  TICK
- Particular experience with residential properties such as purpose built flats, HMO's, etc  This is defo me-I was brought up in an Edinburgh tenement. TICK
- Good experience in using IT based reporting/recording systems  Check the typing of this message, Tone, and you will see I can type, plus my daughter is teaching me to use an IPAD  TICK
- It would be advantageous to also have a relevant Health & Safety qualification. I have signed the company H&S policy, plus, as every H&S practitioner thinks they can do FRAs, how much can there be to H&S.  I am giving myself a TICK

OK Tony, I am in I think.  Give me the salary of a Dep in LFB and a Jag and I am yours. When do I start????
