Fire Risk Assessment frequency and reviews

Hello,

Given legislation states that fire risk assessments need to be undertaken regularly can any one advise on how reviews affect the frequency of whole new assessments?

If reviews are taking place how in-depth should these be and what should their frequency be? How should the reviews be recorded?

The fire risk assessment does not need to be undertaken regularly, it should be reviewed in accordance with art 9 (3) of the FSO.
It needs to be in-depth to the extent that it is deemed suitable and sufficient, frequency is to a degree governed by the above but normally notwithstanding the above it is advised 12 monthly, this should cover the "remains valid for a reasonable period of time" element of suitable and sufficient.
There is no set way how to record the reviews, only what should be recorded (the prescribed information), in accordance with art 9 (7).

There's no national guidance on frequency (and worth remembering that "regularly" does not mean frequently).  The outcome of the review will inform the scope of any consequent risk assessment activity, and perhaps the necessity for more/less frequent reviews in the future.
