Carbon monoxide fire detectors

Does anyone know how effective Carbon monoxide fire detectors are in preventing alarm activation versus smoke alarms? Talking about domestic environment.

The CO alarms for domestic use are different to the ones for Commercial use and not to reduce activations - they are there to sense incomplete combustion from gas and solid fuel burning

CO fire detectors are not the same as CO gas detectors.
