To fully enclose or not?
« on: October 06, 2021, 11:42:16 AM »
Washing machine under mezzanine floor in warehouse. Mezzanine floor for storage and rest area within a warehouse. Obviously fire rated plaster board should be fitted underneath the stairs to protect escape route stairs and would it be best to fully enclose the area under the stairs in fire resistant plasterboard, hinges and intumescent strips for the cupboard doors to FD60(S)?

Lots of factors to consider, layout, travel distances, existing fire precautions, location of exits, really needs someone to visit to give a definitive answer, a mezzanine level doesn't automatically need a protected stair
