Fire Protection of Secondary Steel

Is it acceptable to only encase 1200mm of secondary steel with fire rated plasterboard as this photograph shows?
I seem to recall that secondary steel beams should be protected for their entire length?

Not sure what the structural beams are supporting. If floor above then in most circumstances protection is required. If roof in a single storey building then most likely no protection required. Must say rough looking job!

What with the slot in the p/b cut around the trunking ... on face value the whole thing looks suspect

lyledunn, the steel beam which is only partially enclosed does not support the roof above, however there is no documentation to confirm if the beam is required to provide stability to the columns and beams enclosed, and as you suggest the enclosure not very good.
