A block of flats above 11 metres in height with an open balcony set up at each level, no dead ends and escape is achievable from every flat in two direction made available by protected staircases either end of the building directly accessed of the balcony walkways. Every flat having a compliant FD30(s) door. fire strategy is stay put / safe etc
A question has been asked regarding the need to meet Reg 10 requirements regarding the need for annual checks to these flat entrance doors by the managing agent
I would say yes as to contain any fire within however is that correct as its stay put and if anyone decides to leave they have alternative escape route without the need to pass the flat on fire

There is no legal obligation for these doors to be fire resisting so no need to check them.

"59.4 In blocks of flats where there is alternative escape available from each flat entrance along the open balcony or deck to two or more escape stairways, the separating walls between the flats and access balcony or deck and the flat entrance doors are not required to be fire-resisting."
