According to the CHIP regulation Ammonia is flammable, according to the data sheet it isn't.  WHO IS RIGHT.

Also I am working on ammonia procedures and would value guidance in relation to the evacuation procedure, or not as the case may be.

The colour coding for Ammonia is black cylinder with a red and yellow band around the neck. Toxic and Flammable.
All my responses only apply to England and Wales and they are an overview of the subject, hopefully it will point you in the right direction and always treat with caution.

Simon,

I have put together such procedures myself and have a fair bit of info.

If you want to contact me via email I'll try to help as much as poss, although I would need a bit more info.

Cheers

My information is that both Ammonia gas and Ammonia solution can be explosive with Oxygen and can form explosive products with Chlorine, Bromine, Iodine, Mercury and Silver salts under some conditions.
