Hi guys,

Ive just had an email from BAA to confirm my medical for the role of trainee firefighter at heathrow. ive had a few medicals in my time in the navy, lung function etc etc...but it stated on the email to bring my P.E kit & trainers, does anyone know what thats for? ive had visions of being wired up to a running machine like 'ivan drago' in rocky 4?

Likewise Pukka. What day and time is your medical? I dont suppose this means were close to any positions becoming vacant.

Mine is on the 17th 10:00. I doubt it, I think its just a procedure to get it out the way early, although does anyone know if it expires like the physical?!

Harwichfire, the BAA website has EVERYTHING you need to know. You've spent days here asking for info and and help, I've just gone on to the BAA website and found all the info you will ever need in less than a minute. Clue, check out the Policies.

Hi All,
Just got the good news from Heathrow that I have been successfull in medical and have been offered a position starting training on the 7th. They also mentioned that I might have to go down the station to collect kit etc on the 2nd so hope to see a few of you there!
