Hi Mushy
Heres the complete link you have posted to view your pic. You will see that it requires a log in- perhaps thats why only you can see it- you will be already logged in on your pc?  Just right click on it and look in properties to see the link in full

The doors as described by the OP.

Never seen this myself before.

Well it saves one unsightly door closer :)

Cant see how the door on the left of the picture actally closes with the bar apparently fixed to the outside face of the door?

Looks like the joiner who trimmed the rebate on the right hand door was working towards the quality mark too.

Not April 1st is it???

Have seen some weird contraptions before but have never encountered anything like that before, definately looks "home made" to me! Dont necesarily agree with it but in some situations possibly a clever idea?
Been trying to work out what Kurnal said about how it manages to shut - nope!!! Maybe there's a chunk missing (out of picture) from above the door to allow the armiture to follow through????
Each and every day is a learning curve and today is one of those days?

Here you go...hope it works!
One way to load images is to open a browser and upload your image to Photobucket at http://photobucket.com/. When you view your image in Photobucket, accompanying your image are four links chose direct link and copy the URL.

Open a second browser logged on to this forum and paste the URL into the Quick post box. Add the start img tag after the URL.

Add any text you want and submit it, it should work.
All my responses only apply to England and Wales and they are an overview of the subject, hopefully it will point you in the right direction and always treat with caution.
