Only quite old, Big Al.  Did you marry a much younger woman then?

Yes she was much younger when we married. She has aged somewhat since.

I wonder how many of us would see an electric shower and fan as sufficient risk to warrant AFD? There are many fires each year involving fans but every toilet has a fan and most WCS don't have AFD. Electric showers are an ignition source but is there any combustible fuel in the room? It sounds a little marginal to me.

....your honour

Depends. I'd be more worried about toilets used by members of he pleblic in things like areas of assembly, licensed premises etc where alcohol fuelled behaviour or arson will be more prolific

I would agree that the risk in the shower room may not warrant detection, however it was stated that this was a means of escape from the rest of the building and even a L3 system under 5839 would require detection. However I am curious as to how a shower room became a means of escape or vice versa. It would also raise the question of how privacy is maintained whilst still keeping the means of escape readily available. (or is everybody very friendly?)
