Firenet get together?
« on: December 19, 2007, 11:39:52 PM »
Would there be any interest in a firenet get together day and night? We could invite a couple of guest speakers and make it a CPD event and a pint or three afterwards. Maybe could even run to a hot Toddy (if he would come)
Say at Moreton?
Guest speaker suggestions- oxyreduct?, water mist? Care Standards? HMO? Fire engineering update? fire resisting curtains?

What do you think?

If that's an open invitation to the Forum members then count me in (no Shiraz here, just a pint I'm afraid!)

What a great idea Kurnal, (were you getting a little sentimental with the shiraz since its xmas, whilst no doubt listening to a fairytail of new york, when you had this great idea)Will there be a prize for who has furthest to travel? It would really depend on when for me, but I would be very interested.

I do believe this would be both useful and a great way of getting to know the people behind the names.  I would certainly enjoy a meeting too.

Are IFE/FPA/Morton running anything next year we could block book onto which would cover one or more of kurnal's excellent suggestions? I could travel to Morton for the day, and would be hopeful of getting down.

The 'Bugs' as we all knew it is long dead and buried. All we've got left is a disco at the British legion Club with a ratio of male:female of about 100:1. It open around 10:00pm and cost a few quid to get.

OOPs - not that i've ever been there of course! Just listening to others
